Any tips for installing TC extended axles. I was going back and forth on the +2 vs +3.5 snagged a +2 TC Expo and happened to get a set of coils to go and all will be in hands by next week. No waiting so it was hard to pass up. all BNIB as well. Just ordered axles but first time messing with them and always heard they are a bitch to install.

Don’t know if there’s a newer better way but many years ago the pipe method was it

yah seems like if you get the right leverage from the pipe it should pop it out but as the video noted just need to be something that is rigid enough. Too bad I just tossed my old rotors i had laying around.

I tried the pipe method and no luck there. I was using DOM and banging it on 1/4” plate, 1/4” rectangle tube, a brake rotor, all sorts of hard shit with no luck. And I went at it for a combined 10 minutes of banging probably. My wrists were really sore for a few days.

Then I tried a brass hammer per someone else’s suggestion. No luck. So now I’m paying JD Fab, who is making my LT kit, to assemble me some axles.

I’ve done the pipe method on 2 sets of axels so far and got it to work. But to get it to work I dropped it off my friends shop roof lol and it took a bunch of try’s

So they’re saying 40-45% over stock but don’t wanna show dyno charts. That’s like me saying my Tacoma is 450hp to the wheel and not showing dyno proof

For axles, this was from rcv. Put it at its max angle, in a vise. Have someone hold one end and tap the cage with a brass drift. I had one that refused to come out and came out in a few taps. Normally I can get it with the pipe trick though

@PhoS made these numbers a bit ago with the pro charger, not sure what all he has done to the engine though.

yeah 375 on a stock motor with just the charger would be impressive but probably not reliable...lol

    Besides supporting mods just headers/exhaust.

Why not? Plenty of people have been pushing 10psi for years.

Im not familiar with the second gen axles, but it is something that could be pressed out with the right fitting/adapter? Im assuming its just the balls or a snap ring that holds it all together?
