Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

I ran a cut off wheel on a grinder between my ring finger and middle finger at work. Cut through the welding glove I had on. It needed stitches but I didn’t get any. My wife taped my two fingers together for about a week. I’ve started wearing silicone rings myself.

 

Ouch.

I only ever had one claim. 17 years ago off loading an exterior door from a truck bed I got a giant splinter lodged in my palm. Could not remove all of it and had to go to urgent care to get the rest cut out.

Guy i help in HVAC laid his leg open with a cut off wheel last summer. Didn't bleed much , i guess the hot wheel burnt the veins.

 

Well , lets go get the wife ready for today. Make breakfast , do dishes , sweep , vacuum and dust. Id make someone a good wife , lol

That was July 16th. My family has been involved in the sawmill industry for 35 years, my father being a salesman and emt for the mill. I've had the pleasure of hearing of many injuries, and in the last year of working at one, triaging a couple myself to get them to the hospital quick.

 

This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve modified this in 3 years. 60 some year old guy keeps changing the tire size on his Jeep. He has his spare on a swing out and it’s so heavy this supports it from the hitch. He went to a 37” this trip so had to adjust it up 1 3/4”.

 

Years ago my coworker and I both bought one of these jacks. We got tired of borrowing from each other when we needed two for a job so he made us both another one. Only the part you see beside each other though.

 

Hey @six5crèéd i need a flat square 8.5"X8.5" rounded corners with a handle. Used for a bacon press. What would that cost? 1/4" thick steel

 

How thick of material? Stainless?

 

1/4" max stainless prob work.

 

Like this...i can find them but not the exact size i need.

 

Someone brought in donuts this morning and I was not informed.
