Man that sucks, I found one in the salvage yard. I thought I figured out by studying this forum that they are the exact same size and would bolt right in ? Anyone tried this ?

Any of you guys put one on a 4cyl 5 speed ? The beast has more than a FJ case installed and about ten times as much $$$ to play with. Im wondering if I can drop mine in the home garage and install the FJ case with out doing any other mods to it.Rocksolidtoys web sight is down for a while.

Rocksolidtoys is up and doing very well and yes you can put an FJ Cruiser case into a Tacoma with the 4cyl and the 5 speed. I sent one to JW with the twin stick conversion and he has it in his truck and it is working fine.

As a matter of fact here it is. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-builds/114291-n0rths-tacoma-build-8.html#post2515005

Has anybody ever just mated the transfer case to the Tacoma transmission without a crawl box between the 2. I have no need for the crawlbox but would prefer a manual transfer case

A guy local to me ran it without a twin stick for a few months. Just used the stock single fj shifter.
