Our current 3 car garage is filled with shit. Nothing to be jelly about.

Our new place I guess you could say has two, 2-car garages......but more like a 2 car garage and a separate shop with two higher bays. Regardless you are correct, we looked for 3+ months and the hour this place went on the market we went to see it, made an offer right away and there are people stacked. So yes they demand a premium and when we get our shit square and moved, should not be a problem selling this place.

After our last move 19 years ago, the Mrs and I made the promise to pack up like we’re moving every year to clear out the crap . Kinda kept up with it. Always a challenge.

Congrats on the new house, good luck w the move and sale of the old one!

Not sure where you live, but it must be really pricey.

    SW Indiana:

You can only see half my house here. It is "L" shaped and the long direction is not in the pic. I have a 40' x 50', 4 car garage. 5 acres of land. I paid $165,000 about 4 years ago.

It is an old house, but new kitchen and living room had been added. 1 bath, bedrooms are small, and some of the interior was very dated, but that 4 car sealed the deal. It was about 10 yrs old, insulated, it's own 100amp service from the street.

No attached garage for Winter parking & ingress to house is somewhat of a drawback, but that's only 3-4 mos of the year. No mountains or ocean, but life is about choices.

Last Summer pics, and one this Winter of garage.

See post 282 for my glamour shots: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/show-off-your-garage-or-workshop.201114/page-15

That's a steal of a deal on a great cart/box, those things are $1700 new. They are solid and built in the tool box plant in NY. I'm a Matco Distributor, and I sell a lot of these.

Picked these up recently, quality seems pretty good, especially for the price.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Thanks, it took a while to find a good deal but they come up. A few weeks before I got this box I looked at a similar snap on one and was not impressed with the Snap On cart. And the guy wanted $1,200 for it. In my opinion this Matco cart is a great value. The Matco boxes are a great value on the used market a lot of the time around here.

I never thought of this til the kids were in the garage all the time but how do y’all keep the air compressor? I know I should know this. Keep it on? Take the air out each time? I’m conflicted

I leave mine on and full all the time and drain it monthly. Sure it may not be the best for longevity but it's the best for convenience.

I leave it pressurized, discharge valve shut and contactor open. Blow down tank for moisture after any use. Do not want to have this turn on when I'm not home. I've ran into issues in the past where the cutoff switch tubing broke and the compressor would have just continuously ran until probably caught fire. I've also seen people wire the outlet to a solenoid valve, controlled by a light switch by the door so when you leave it does it automatically for you.

Not sure how you would have your compressor wired, but I put mine on an L6-30 twistlock plug. One main discharge that branches out. Like I said you can replace this discharge valve with a solenoid valve it would be a pretty trick setup, but for me it is simple enough to remember that when I'm done for the day I go blow the compressor down, close the discharge valve, and turn off the contactor.

I use mine infrequently- hardly at all in the winter, it’s a small one. I unplug and drain at the end of the day.
