Just in case, all AT Tune Pack look the same. It will just be updated to work with 04B33. You will have to flash up to that ECU ID. See the process and instructions in the 1st Post of the ECU Update thread.

 

With time I’m sure it’ll all work itself out, y’all have been absolute rockstars for this I really can’t thank you enough. Would’ve taken a whole lot more time and effort if I had done it alone!
As soon as I’m given the credits I’ll flash the truck to 04B33!

 

The dongle and software are a completely separate purchase from the Tune pack so if you never got the order confirmation for the tune pack it’s self maybe you didn’t order it?

should have been around the $700 mark for software, dongle, tunepack, and credits that come with the software and tune pack.

anyway I can confirm that I got the 3.5 tune pack x 1, and tuner software bundle.

Oh ya... I forgot to mention it ends up there sometimes that’s where I found mine.

just respond to the email with your ecuID that you want to flash and he will send the right thing

Hey guys so I just hear back from Matt, he gave me the credits so that I could update to 04B33 but I’m having a little bit of trouble.

I’m getting this error code: “unable to communicate with ECM. Cannot Prepare Writing E13.”

 

What are you doing?

You need to update to b33 with TS, you cant directly flash to b33 with vF

 

Disconnect the Tactrix and shut down and restart vF.

Be sure that you have the latest drivers installed:



The Taco Ignition needs to be On without the engine running. Two taps of the PTS button without your foot on the brake.

And, you need internet access for the Prepare ECU step to work properly.

Are you GtG then? Able to flash?

Like @Shellshock said, you need 04B31 files to flash an 04B31 ECU ID. Or, 04B33 files to flash an 04B33 ECU ID.

I hate to ask this of you but is there any way u can maybe dumb it down for me when it comes to updating to 04B33

 

The first post here has all the info. You need to install techstream (V14 will work for you) and then use it to update the ECU. If you are having trouble finding the info in the first post, you may need to click the boxes to reveal the spoilers. There's a lot of info in that post, but it has what you need including instruction for installing teachstream and then using it.

 

That 1st Post has step by steps. You just need to install TechStream following the instructions and grab the CUW with 04B33 in the filename.

anyone else complete the download and go to run the vehicle and get a critical error message saying I need to update to the newest version

then when I go and try and do that it takes me to some Toyota website where I have to sign in?

Ok I've got everything installed and ready to go except for the CUW file, the links on the first page are saying that the files have either been moved, edited, or deleted. Anyone know where they went? lol
