I think the AFE catback is rerouted.

Mule suggested Dan Fast Muffler in Bellevue. I haven't yet gone in to have them check it out though.

So I ended up figuring it out and it was an exhaust leak, just not where I thought it would be. I ended up taking it back to their shop telling them I thought it had an exhaust leak. They looked at it and told me they thought I had a bad catalytic converter. I've never heard of a cat going bad after 18k miles so I wanted to take one more dive into it.

    PXL_20210317_160945406.MP.jpg
Instead of running the truck, I used a leaf blower taped to the exhaust outlet. Then I sprayed soapy water all over, from the header down. Doing it with a cold exhaust let me really get a good look without it evaporating off.
I had been thinking maybe they cracked part of the exhaust up in the engine bay. After spraying everything I saw some bubbles on the flange between the first cat, and the second one on the drivers side.PXL_20210317_160713420.jpg
So I got to looking at it and figured maybe they broke or damaged the gasket. So I went to take a peak at it. Turns out, they didn't even re-install the gasket! It was completely gone. So I popped on over to the local parts counter and got a new one and installed it. Cleared the codes and did a bunch of driving. No check engine light! Finally got it fixed.

Nicely done! Did you report back to the shop to let them know they made a mistake? As a manager, I'd like to know when my employees fuck up.

Also, put that leaf blower on the intake line for some true power gains :burnrubber:

I was debating on calling to let them know. I think I will some time this coming week. I feel like it's a mistake that shouldn't have ever happened, and really should have got caught the second time.

Im always game for some more getup and go lol

How many inches is the clearance from your t-case actuator to the pipe? I want to do the same setup with that heat shield.

What shop in Sacramento and how much did they charge you. I'm taking my 2nd gen to Muffler Express in West Sac tomorrow. The quoted $200.

Got the exhaust rerouted on my 2014 today. Was $200 at Muffler Express in West Sacramento and took less than an hour. Doing the reroute on 2nd Gens is definitely a little harder than the 3rd Gens due to the layout. I couldn't find a thread this active for 2nd Gens, so I figured posting it here would be helpful for future 2nd gens getting it done. I'm very happy with it. Got Full BAMF trilogy going on tonight.

What sliders you got ? If it is BAMF, you gotta drill through the sliders as well as the frame to mount the trilogy
