Kinda like getting the tee after getting yanked out by Matt's Off-road Recovery, but instead of "We'll get 'em out" it's "He cut it up"

These straps are way longer than the ones I got with my fridge slide (for the last fridge) which I guess helps explain the cost. I’m much more pleased with the matching straps now.

I also ditched the Toyota decal on the tailgate. It felt a bit busy with the tepui logo right there as well. What I’d really prefer is a generic black cover with no logos on it.

It was also only $20 so I can put it back on later if I really want.

Quick question for you: So if I install Eric's shock relocation (the cheaper one) deal, does it absolutely require wheel spacers afterward?

It all comes down to backspacing and tire size. Spacers are “required” because most wheels are aggressive enough backspacing to not rub the shock.

Hmmm. I figured as much. I'm guessing it's just an install and see what happens kind of thing?

I know I'll never get anything over a 33 on a 17-inch wheel. And I'd have to look and see what the backspacing is on my wheels.

You could probably get away with 3.5” backspacing. You can always go mild and get a small spacer like me if necessary.

Which reminds me, no rubbing on my shocks at all with the new setup. My 1/2” spacers were clutch.

And here I thought this would be quick...... One wheel is 4.75 backspacing and 0 offset. The other is 4.53 with a -12 offset.

Well that 1/4" doesn't make much difference in this case, both would need spacers. I'd get some spidertrax spacers and call it good.

One more and I'll leave you be. Size of said spacers? Inch?

Well that's something new. That's a lot of spacing.

It won’t be as noticeable as you think it’ll be. Plus you can always add them to the front as well to even things out.

@crashdb i have had spidertrax 1.25” spacers on my truck for nearly 3 years now because I’m still on stock wheels. Been beating on them and haven’t had a single issue. They are quality hub centric spacers.
