Projects your working on right now

Im wondering what projects you guys are working on right now! ATM im building a bumper for my tacoma, and im building an RC zero turn lawn mower out of an old push mower becasue why not. Haha

 

I live in a relatively remote area, with poor radio reception. I noticed that auto radios have better reception than the other radios I have, so I am taking an auto radio and mounting it in a cabinet with a battery supply (for times when the power is out). Not yet complete, but I have haywired it to verify it works as expected.

 

Does raising a kid count? Because that's where all my other project money went

 

BTDT. A commendable project. Also an important activity, especially given the state of things now.

 

For sure, I was being facetious for the most part. Definitely wouldn't trade her for anything in the world

Meanwhile, my truck gives me side eye from the driveway on weekends - 'why don't you love me anymore?'

 

using a car battery? i thought about doing this but with a computer power supply. let me know how it turns out

 

haha the poor taco. but good for you man i do not have a kid yet who knows when thatll happen so truck upgrades and projects till then!

 

Oh boy. Let's see..

Getting a 1965 GTO Roadworthy to give to my dad as a gift. Status: Near Complete. Waiting on paint and body and some exhaust work. I'll complete the disk brake conversion this weekend or next and install new bumpers. Engine is back in and running.

Master bathroom renovation. Status: Waiting on marble guy to cut pieces for bench and threshold. After which, I'll finish the shower tile and start installing fixtures.

Toddler bed. My wife bought one off Craigslist that I now have to paint. Status: It's disassembled and ready for sanding.

1965 Mustang (my money pit). Purchased a hydraulic clutch setup and parts for a power brake conversion. Status: Very far down the list of priorities

Garden. My wife and I spent a good amount of money and time trying to repair years of garden neglect by the homes previous owner. We made good progress, and then everything froze in Texas. I basically have to start all over. Status: Most of the dead is cut back..time for replanting. Never ending.

Exterior Paint. My wife wants to change the shudder, porch railing, and door color on our house. Status: Paint is purchased...waiting for me to get after it

Raising Children. I have a 5 year old and a 4 year old. Status: Chaos.

That's about it for now. I have more, but these are the more pressing ones.

Dam a hell of a list you got going there man. looks sweet tho! good job on it all. the house projects are the ones i put off cuz im kinda lazy but im getting ready to do flooring in my living room as well as a new front door nothing to crazy on my house

 

Yeah, I hear you. It's taken me quite some time to get the bathroom where it is. I moved a wall and completely reworked the plumbing as well. I like working on it, but my attention is too divided. For reference, this is what it looked like when I got it.

 

I'm working on organizing all of my projects . . .

 

It will use an 18 Ah GEL battery with a battery maintainer attached, so we can use it any time. I left room in the case for a 33 Ah battery if that one is unsatisfactory. I prefer not to use a car battery in the house--too much chance of a spill. The GEL battery can be mounted in any orientation, too. As I said, I have haywired it to verify satisfactory operation. It works great.
