Testing is finally done. We made it up to Version 4.0

The Kruiser 4.0 is a great tune, but we always want more!
So, we have been working on making it better. We have also been asked by a
well known suspension manufacturer to make a tune for their newly built, heavy Tacoma truck.
We have been adjusting, testing, monitoring and logging, then repeating till everyone was satisfied.
We have been working on the fuel/air delivery, shifting, throttle, torque maps and overall performance.
This new tune is definitely an improvement. The shifting is smooth, the throttle is less "jerky",
especially from a stop and at low speeds. The power and torque is there at low and high speeds.
Because the Kruiser tune was already very strong, it is hard to get more power. But we feel like we sqeezed out a little bit more.
The gas mileage on our trucks has NOT worsened. With all the testing, running it hard, our mileage is not a good gauge.
But we can tell when we drive "normal", the mileage is still good.
-The KDMax tune will be available by PM only (or tuned in person)
-The KDMax tune will only be sent out as a LOCKED file.

Any tire, gear, AGM settings will be done by @PapaRee or @TWTaco

As with all the tunes from us, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
If you are NOT wanting a Performance tune---This tune is NOT for you!!
Please give it some miles before reporting anything.
If you have any "weird" shifting or bad MPG, RESET LV and AT then re-flash.
We will work hard to accommodate all requests.

*Dyno tests are going to be done soon with gearlock to get low end torque numbers and to see if we squeezed out anymore power.

 

Any one that wants to upgrade to our new KDMax Performance tune now before tune day.
The total cost for our newest tune will be $300.

This is made for peak performance! So if your not into that i would say stay with our K&D performance tune and you will not be disappointed with how it performs for you!

 

Will these tunes (performance & the new max) pass a vehicle emissions test in AZ?

Any AZ guys running one of these custom tunes have any issues getting thru an emissions test?

We fully would expect it to pass emissions. I dont know when you have to get your smog checked in Arizona. Here in California 2016 and up owners dont have to smog until 2024.
We had confirmed vehicles getting clean pass that did have them done in Cali.

 

California has some of the most strict emissions laws in the country. I'm with Dave, if you can pass emissions in CA, AZ should be a breeze.

This for manual transmissions too? and with the "4 file pack" does that mean we can swap them at our leisure if we have our own hardware/software?
