    I bought myself a beautiful 2021 Tacoma - and I want a locking gas cap. So far I am not finding one,,, anyone out there find one?

    Plus
    Without the OEM gas cap you will damage the EVAP system to the tune of +$1,500

    Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
    I want one of those like Ford uses. No unscrewing. No touching the cap at all. Just a spring-loaded flap you put the nozzle in.

    I wouldn't. I am an insurance broker and have seen multiple claims where thieves have drilled holes in gas tanks to steal fuel as there was a locking gas cap or locking gas door. I'd rather lose some fuel than replace a gas tank.

    They'll drill your gas tank either way if they want. They'll tear out your faux pro grill, steal your plastic hitch cover, your tailgate, cat convertor, spare tire, smash your window for 50 cents in change and a half pack of gum and even tow your truck away on a flat bed in two minutes if they really want it.

    The locking gas cap is for the crazy ass ex gf who wants to put maple syrup in your gas tank.

    100% agree. But, I really worry when they start stealing it out of moving cars, then we know SHTF and a Mad Max scenerio is here.

    I lost a motor to a bag of sugar in my gas tank in high school. I could care less about someone steeling my gas, it's the crazy bitches that you want to protect yourself from.

    Lots of guys including me get a check engine code with locking gas caps,seem they don't seal as well as factory caps do.I tried 3
    $17 Stant 10504 Stant Regular Locking Fuel Cap, black
    Stant 10504 caps,and all 3 gave me a code no matter what I did,went back too factory and problem solved.
