Yeah, child seat liners, diaper bag with gear, water bottles, and wipies are a must. Other posts are correct in saying you'll forget something, happens all the time. Add a car detail every 6-8 months after ur baby hits 3 yrs old, and every 4-6 months if you decide to have 2 kids. DO NOT MISS THOSE EARLY YEARS BY WORKING TOO MUCH!!!

I echo the diono recommendations- ours fits well in the back, even rear facing but I will say my wife and I are both short or it seems like we’d be pushing it... Also the above mentioned topper, I just ordered one myself- I have a diamondback and the limited storage height of a tonneau and short bed fill up quick with a weekend’s worth of my hunting gear and the kiddo (plus dog). Looking forward to essentially doubling our space, since the cab is pretty full while still in a rear facing seat.

After a few life lessons Ive learned to keep gallon ziplock bags and a roll of paper towels. You know those gifts the kids get of clothes that you would never buy? Throw that set in a ziplock plus an extra bag and a few paper towels. Do yourself a favor and make a set for yourself and if you’re nice your wife too. Roll them up to get the air out and tuck them somewhere. KEEP the kids clothes easily accessible.

When it happens. And it WILL definitely happen.Grab the bag, toss the stuff to the side and have the kid yack in the bag, wipe them up and seal the bag. The secondary bag is if they still manage to get themselves messy or sh!t themselves. Change the kid on the side of the road and continue on the way.

    Ah, the good old days.

I will say this as well. Go to Costco or Sam's Club. Buy a case of those wet wipes for kids and a box of garbage bags. Always travel with them. Depending on the kid, you are looking a 3 to 5 box childhood !

But I wouldn't have missed it for the world ...

As someone with a 13 and 10 year old don't wait on the college savings. We funded the crap out of our kids college funds with the goal of being able to have them fully funded after 10 years. Glad to say we were able to do that as the earlier you put money in the longer it has to build compound interest.

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
My sister-in-law loves her Siena. It's 6 or 7 years old, if I had to guess. Even though her kids are in high school and college now, she wants another Siena when she gets rid of her current one. She likes how it drives. Great grocery getter, I suppose.

I hear you brother. My kids had K-12 private school plus college. My youngest (21) finished her BA in three and a half and will have her MA this December. No student loans helps them get a decent start in life. Buy a home earlier, put more into retirement earlier.
It’s been a long haul, but the big expenditures are just about over.

Sienna. Absolutely the way to go. Especially considering the implications of your statement that you're expecting your "first" child. Sienna AWD with the recliners in the back is the right tool for the job.

The recliners are crucial because that is where you will be taking naps during soccer/baseball/etc. practice.

Heading to the hospital soon! Went with the graco 4-1. Using the wife’s mom car so Taco will stay tucked into the garage until I get home! Thank you all who have provided input on this as it has helped tremendously in getting ready! Here is a picture of the seat when we got it in!

Funny enough my wife actually told me about TW! I'm also stealing all these ideas as I am also expecting my first in a couple of months, and have the same truck as the OP
