So far I've heard CB, GMRS, HAM, Discord and nothing at all mentioned as means of communication in this thread  ... just wondering what the plan is? I currently have nothing, I'm perfectly ok picking up a radio if it would be beneficial.

I have off as well. Since I'll be working this Sat. and probably Sun. I'll be ready for a few beers!
Plus I have some Yuengling Black and Tans to share.

I use CB. most of the guys I run trails with have CB. This includes some of the people who will be attending April 10th.

HAM is popular in other areas.

GMRS sounds like my next setup. But, I am waiting until others start switching over.

I wouldn't feel obligated to buy a radio just to join in on the trip, but it does help.
I have this from Midland currently paired with a cheap mag mount antenna.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00000K2YR

Installation can be as easy as just running the antenna cable through the window.

I may get a HAM license in the future only because I'm a bit interested. Not really sure how much I would use it tho.

My technician exam is this Sunday actually, I booked it a few weeks ago for an online session. It seemed interesting and was only $10 for the exam so I figured why not.

I may pick up a cheap basic cb setup, probably not even have it mounted in the truck and a magnet antenna. Honestly it would probably just be nice to have one for when the need arrises.

I believe @BookieBob picked up a reasonably priced CB bundle from Amazon last year. It seems to work just fine for him

I think the campground at Wyasuling State park near the Trans Wisconsin Adventure trail only allows local wood to burn.

At home in my bonfire pit I burn it all. Wood crates from work, pallets, and trees cut down in my neighborhood.
(I do bring wood home from illinois)

True. They're pretty strict about it. I remember years ago showing up at Council Grounds with firewood from the Eagle River area. They took it and put it in a heavy duty plastic bag. They did give us a free bundle of theirs, which was nice. :)

Wyalusing. It's a 45 minute ride from Potosi brewery. The sites are nice from what I recall.

Why do they have a guard? Do they know something we don’t know?

They need someone to collect all that revenue! State park stickers don’t grow on trees.

I'll be creeping into 60 hours worked by Friday, and I really no longer give a fuck about my job. I'll see if I can make it down at some point.

@ksimms92 I don't know that you really need any radio as long as you're not leading the group, or the ass end of it. It's super cool to be able to make fun of people while on the ride, let the lead truck know if the gap between trucks is getting too big, or let the tail truck know we all need to get into the right lane, but it's hardly required for a good time. Just being part of a convoy of idiots that spent too much on their trucks is reward enough.
