I’ve known them as cattle dogs, and you’re right. They are the Tacoma of Dogs, get beat up, scratched and worn, but they live practically forever.

 

So is Tomi but he is just 6 months old so that is expected.

 

Mine is a female Brittany Spaniel/ chocolate lab mix. She is registered. Bad combination she is pure hunting dog. Natural at pointing. She has topped out at 54 solid pounds

 

Tomi is AKC chocolate lab and is already 50 pounds at 6 months.

ACD, Australian cattle dog, or blue heeler. He's 11, but acts 9 months.

Drain tube and staples are out, and the bone biopsy came back negative for cancer. They're still trying to figure out what it is, but for now we're in the clear and just need another 1-2 weeks of recovery before we're trail running and playing on the beach!
