    Updates to come...
Howdy everyone - after a bit of a hiatus (~5 years), I have got back into the Toyota truck world, and this time with my second Taco. Won't lie - I had a stupid grin on my face the whole way home from the dealership in my new to me '14 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 (double cab) - the world felt right again.

Previous to this truck I had an '01 Reg Cab Taco, an '01 Tundra, and '10 4Runner - the 4R is when I finally got to stretch my tools a bit and had my hand at starting to build out a pretty clean overlander. Unfortunately the full plan didn't come to fruition due to other plans that came up and priorities - as well, this started a dark road in my automotive life that led from one bad nut to another. However, that's history and I look forward to realizing my incomplete "vision" with the Taco.

Thanks for having me - I look forward to chipping into the posts where I can, learning from the community, and sharing my own "lessons learned."

Welcome @RaginTxn! Hope you have deep pockets or a credit card w/o a limit. Those mods will eat ya out of house and home. But nice truck!

FWIW, I had a 2014 Sport Ex Cab 4WD a few years back. I sometimes kick myself for trading her in. But I also needed the extra cab space in a DC. Either way, nice truck!

    Welcome!

Me: I just want a truck to go camping.
TW: rock sliders, full skid plate, RSI Shell Cap. Oh, I've owned the truck for just one month. :)

I hadn't planned any additional lighting, as I just stop and sleep when dark. Someone had great point about having to book out of a campground at 2 AM due to tornados! Maybe I need some extra lighting.

hahaha, yeah, I've made sure to space it out a bit on this build, and who knows - kids are getting old enough my overland funds will probably be going to their growing needs sooner rather than later

    Thanks for the welcome!

:rofl:oh man, do I know that all too well - that would be the story for my 4R - hopefully I learned my lessons from that... :typing: (money flying across the fiber lines as I try to convince myself I've changed)
