nope honda usa decided we didnt need a spare tire/donut or blinkers in the mirror or led headlights or summer tires and a bunch of other odds and ends

the usa model si gets stripped down for some reason....

 

To be fair the no spare thing is manufacturers ntrying to save weight and gain mpgs while there is lawmaking happening that results in higher fleet mpg requirements but also the add ons of a lot of heavy safety gear

 

Weight reduction. So you can go faster. Duh.

My driver side window regulator rattles if my window isn't all the way up or below half way. It's annoying but taking the door panel off is a PITA and I have other priorities.

Fairly unrelated to the present discussion, but this reminds me of a longstanding mental playground I've had involving finding a salvage Prius, gutting the shell, and rear mounting a 353T Detroit diesel. Present thought is to run the exhaust out the roof through a muffler hidden in a Yakima/equivalent storage shell. No way in hell would I run one of those with a straight pipe...

Do you still have your spare tire? When I removed the spare, I cut the chains so they wouldn't cling, swing, and what not.

 

I unbolted the whole hoist. And gave it to @Sacrifice

 

Sometimes the chains on mine drop through the spare wheel's holes and start doing a cowbell like thing on trails. I honestly thought about just putting a cowbell under there when I'm off road.

 

Just hang some rocky mountain oysters while youre at it too haha
