    Thanks for the replies.

I would really appreciate that. Tundra upgrade or no, the truck needs new front brake lines before it drives. My hope is that the aftermarket steel lines you have will offer additional clearance than what I have now; in your and other pics the banjo bolt seems to have a lower profile head. If that's the case I may throw a pair of those lines on and see how she does, since the Tundra upgrade will be much more expensive and time consuming, although it is something I'm interested in doing some day.

I appreciate you. I noticed this issue a few weeks ago (bought the truck in Jan-2021) when I saw chipped paint on the coils and the tiniest bit of damage to the head of the banjo bolt on both sides. At this point there was no noticeable leak of brake fluid. I had a friend help me test the steering theory (cranked the wheel to max on both sides on flat ground and looked at the caliper area) and didn't see an issue so we concluded it was OK for now, but something to tackle in the short-medium term. A bit later I noticed some weeping, and then two days ago the leaking got to the point where I don't want to drive the truck, although brake fluid reservoir is still at or just below max. @turbodb I may reach out soon about options for sourcing Tundra upgrade parts.

Not sure there is a right or wrong way. In fact, not all brands come with an offset for the misalignment spacers. I've had Kings and now ADSs and neither had offsets.

I had a set of fab techs that came with offset and when I ordered a rebuild kit from king they sent offset bushings.

I managed to get the Wheeler's SS front brake lines on this weekend. Access was a bitch but once I figured out the first line I was able to do the second pretty easily. No issues bleeding, test drove today and brakes feel great. One thing that pissed me off is the head of the Wheeler's banjo bolt snapped off while I was torquing it to 22 ft-lbs. Luckily I had a spare low-pro banjo bolt and copper washers. I didn't even bother with the torque wrench on the other side, it felt like it wanted to snap off too.

I put some red nail polish on the part of the coil that was hitting the factory banjo bolt on either side. I'm hoping it will chip and provide clear evidence if the new banjo bolt hits the coil.

So I emailed Wheeler's about this and they helped me out. They're sending new banjo bolts and crush washers. They said that there was supposed to be an insert in the box with the brake lines indicating the torque specs, which they told me via email were 11-12 ft-lbs, not the 22 ft-lbs stated in the FSM. I could not find said torque spec listing in the package I received.

Update - I've had the Wheelers lines on for two weeks. I drove the truck off road this past weekend and noticed afterwards that my new passenger side brake line is damaged, apparently from making contact with the coil over. The photo below shows the damage. You can also see where I applied red nail polish to the coil, and where that apparently transferred to the black plastic covering of the line when the two parts made contact.

Are there any checks I can do to rule out an underlying issue with suspension, brakes, etc as the cause? Thanks in advance!

Honestly I think a Tundra brake upgrade is in my future.

Are they side specific? Looks like it bends outwards a little maybe that’ll help

If you're referring to the Wheelers lines in my pic - I didn't think so. But maybe? Pretty sure I didn't put them on the other way because they didn't clear the caliper.

Hey y'all, update here. I was able to complete the Tundra caliper upgrade pretty easily, utilizing a conversion kit from @turbodb. One issue I ran into was the bracket in the kit wasn't compatible with my aftermarket spindles. Huge thanks to @turbodb for being super responsive and helpful. In the end I bent the bracket and the hardlines from the caliper to the bracket for fitment.

I haven't had any issues yet so I'm cautiously optimistic, although it doesn't look to me like there's a huge amount of clearance. Time will tell I guess.
