Well that sucks especially since I hope to a set of the V5's when they come out that are both turn signals and DRL's. Then I'll have 2 sets of spare V3 turns.

+1 German cars are the best for daily driving, and easy to maintain tons of support online.

Don't listen to this guy. BMWs leak oil to keep the rust away.

German cars are great until you have to fix them... Which is often and expensive! lol (talking from experience - lesson learned the hard way).

In my totally biased opinion, the Canadian built Rav's are better quality than the Japanese built vehicles...

There was a time when I could look up the VIN and find the complete history of the vehicle from birth, but since retirement those days are long gone.

That said, although it may be a toaster on wheels the Rav is reliable, well built and will last a very long time with regular maintenance. If you're lucky enough to find a V6 like @ontatioyota, jump on that shit right away! It's a rocket.

Accidents are the biggest reason to look out for rust. An accident <$2K is not a lot of damage... If you don't see anything around wheel wells or rockers you may have a keeper.

I worked for Toyota for 31 years and retired as a Quality Manager, so like I said... biased opinion...

Anyone know anyone who wants to buy a sweet Taco?

It will most likely have stock bumpers on it, unless they want the steel ones. I’m keeping the winch for my other Taco.

PM me for more info than you know what to do with...

Working on planning a trip with the GF in the Sault St Marie, Chapleau, Thunder Bay area for beginning of June. We got 10 days and will be a combination crown exploration and parks. Anyone got any recommendations of roads, campsites, lakes, rivers or places in that area?

Lake superior provincial park is a must see when would be a great place to spend a night or two.

Travelling the TransCanada highway around Lake superior is wonderful if it’s your first time.

Sleeping giant provincial park just outside of Thunder Bay is also a fantastic park however I am biased because Thunder Bay is my hometown!

You should be able to feed yourself Brook Trout out of all the streams since you are travelling in June!

Excited for the trout now!! We have planned a day for hiking at sleeping giant already. It looks like there is some crown at the top of its peninsula, perhaps some good opportunity to find camping there?

Lake superior may be a good option for the way home loop.

Kakabeka will be our midpoint prov park stay before our route home, from there it looks possible to go north and traverse east below dog lake for some backroad travelling and eventually finding camping at the end of the day. @ontarioyota whats your take on finding camping in these areas?

It has been a very long time since I have been up there so unfortunately I can’t advise you on crown camping but I would imagine there are lots of opportunities. My last few trips there have been family reunions flying into thunder Bay for long weekends every three or four years for the last 15 minutes

Kakabeka falls is really nice and taking an alternate route home to southern Ontario Is a wise move to see more country.

Lots of spots out there for sure! Did a trip with some buddies last 2 September’s for those beautiful brookies, there’s a stretch of crownland before LSPP around Hibbard Bay, lots of logging roads up that way too, check out west Joco lake, it has some good sites on it. West Joco is on a logging road on the right side as you travel up the trans can just after mica bay on Lake Superior. There’s also an old quarry after wawa with some wicked brook trout lakes in it and some patches of crownland down some trails. I love it out there man, soo much to explore!

West Joco crowland, there’s also a second site on this lake. There an entrance to the site through a small trail down the logging road

No worries man, crownland atlas and google maps are your best bet for finding some good spots up there! I’m looking to head up that way again this year so if you find some nice sites send them my way :fistbump:
    Enjoy the trip!

Definitely will. Or hit me up if I forget by the time the trip happens.

Totally, I spend way too much time tabbing between clupa, gaia-brmb and Google maps. I've been working on trying to get clupa imported in to gaia. Soo close, can get all layers but the private land shape file.
