TW is dope. A bit random, but you reminded me of something. I’ve only been on here for a few years, but it’s been weird to see people come and go on here.... or to see how some people shift the way they talk or act. I used to just look at it as “TW... that one site” but now that I know so many on here personally, it’s been a cool experience and been weird to see so much change over a relatively short period of time.

Another +1 for Schaffers. Albeit just needed nitrogen for shocks. They're seriously offroad oriented. You'll find comfort knowing your vehicle is in the right place just by looking at their work in the lot.

 

Thanks for all the reviews on Shaffer's. I've been shopping around for a shop to do my regear plus lockers install and this seems like the spot. Now just to choose between 4.56 and 4.88..

 

Ask for a recommendation.

I’m on 34’s and went 4.88. Yukon gears and Eaton lockers. So far, I am very happy.

 

5.29s changed my life

 

My ‘03 V6 is on 33’s with 4.88’s and am super happy. I think I would be happy with 5.29’s as well.
But I think 4.56 wouldn’t have worked so well.
I should mention my truck is a pig at 5700 pounds and has a supercharger.

 

I'm going 33s (255/85/16), am currently light weight (OEM bumpers, softtopper), plan on getting a supercharger, and like to cruise at decent highway speed so I've been leaning 4.56 but I can see myself regretting it if I later decide to turn the truck into a pig.

 

If you plan on getting larger tires, Do consider the 4.88 otherwise, good to go!

 

What's the truck used for? Daily? Weekend warrior?

 

Getting it off jack stands will change your life even more. lol

I feel like I should do a shakedown run before I wheel with you...
Been snowboarding most weekends as of recent, might forgo that this weekend and throw some rear disc brakes on but those aren't really necessary to wheel.
You trying to wait for the snow to melt or good whenever?

 

Good as soon as I fix my front brake line. I broke the passenger side hard line when my spindle failed a few weeks back. Haven't bothered to repair it yet. lol

 

Eh, my rear locker solenoid is still messed up. But I can just disconnect the airline when I need to drive on the road so it's fine.

 

I’m glad I found a place where I can escape the daily grind. I have met some good peeps here. Cheers!
