    Still can't get the vaccine here, have to have proof of underlying condition that makes you eligible (or have a job that does...1st responder, teacher, caretaker, etc.)

    It was a little old timey drug store in the old part of town. The last place where that I would have expected to go. No waiting. Quick service.

    I was waiting in a line in my truck for 2 hours before I got mine. Hopefully the second dose isn't as long of a wait but I can't complain about the opportunity to get it.

    That's what I'm afraid is going to happen when they open it up to everyone here in CA. The lines are going to be massive I bet.

    I'm not in any real hurry, just the fact that so many people are getting it bodes well for those that can't yet. But we have a big family reunion we're going to be attending in a few months and we have to get it before then.

    They opened it to IT people here. We must be a high-risk group.

    Interesting...you'd think with how many IT people there are that work remotely, that it would be the opposite.

    And here I am stuck going into the office every day because I can't work remotely, yet I'm not eligible lol.

    Yep I was signed up for the day after they opened it up to everyone here, but then it got canceled because of the tornados last Wednesday. They rescheduled me so that may have something to do with the long lines if they just rescheduled everyone from Wednesday to Thursday and Friday but who knows. Here if you smoke or have an "intellectual disability" you could get the shot before the general public and I know some people who slipped in under those requirements.

    Shit I'll buy a pack of smokes again if it makes me eligible lol. I don't think we have that requirement here

    I was wondering how that works, like are they going to make me piss in a cup and test it for nicotine? I'll just slap a patch on in that case.
    Or do you have to pull up with a cig in hand blowing smoke in their face?

    :rofl::rofl:

    That's a good question. I've worked at a couple places that did testing for nicotine in bloodwork to verify what ins premium you had to pay... but that's entirely different so I don't actually know

    Just roll up like this and they'll have no choice but to vaccinate you, and probably just start you on chemo preemptively
