Ended up purchasing a Kenwood stereo. Pretty happy with it, purchased off Crutchfield...they had about the best price around and it came with the wiring adapter. Found the diagrams, soldered em up, and plug and play. Routed the microphone for the Bluetooth behind the dash up through the pillar trim to the visor. Sounds great, can talk at 50 mph windows down with minimal wind noise transmitted. Still running stock speakers which sound 100x better than with the old head unit. May upgrade later or if I blow em but so far I'm pretty happy.

Thanks! It looks great in there too....almost factory vs a aftermarket single din.

Yeah, it looks great Is that one of those HUs you can change the color of the display? And regarding the stock speakers sounding better, yeah, sometimes all a factory speaker needs to really get an improvement in sound quality is that little bump in power driving them and the quality components that an aftermarket HU offers.

I bought a Pioneer AV112 EX and it started blowing my speakers out right after I turned it on. You might wanna be prepared to get some new ones. I got memphis speakers and they work perfectly without an amp.

Yes it is, I finally figured out how and set it on a nice dull orange/red. Not too bright in the dark and easy to see.

I think you're right, so far so good though. But I dont turn it up all the way, trying to preserve them for now. Likely will upgrade when I have time.
