I may or may not be learning this the hard way right now...

But to give you a hint i have a vehicle at home with an engine light on and the other thats bad on gas and bounced off trees that hasn't complained once

 

I believe @Norilsk was suggesting to drive them a few years off-lease then sell them (before the powertrain warranty expires )

Yea I’m still pretty fresh to Gaia and have been trying to work with it for this upcoming season!

kinda looking forward to it though i kinda missed working on cars lol. Driving Toyota's has been boring. They just run properly as they should... whats the fun in that?

 

My old F150 threw more codes than an enigma machine. Understood it about the same too. Why I no longer have an F150 & I caught up on codes to boot.

I’ve already accepted my fate and willing to do at least 1 motor swap if need be.
Im not overly confident the previous owner took super good care of it as it was probably maintained as per dealer intervals. I’ve learned these motors arent as bad as theyre made out to be as long as u stay on top of it and do everything 2x as often as recommended.


Maybe im just in denial cause its such a riot to rip around in a go-cart every day

 

No worries, I know a lot of other techs despise working on Minis, but I’ve grown to like working on them over the years lol. Good job security

 

Yeah the oil change interval was ridiculous on some of those. Mini suggested doing in between oil changes but it was rare if someone actually did. There are a bunch of reasons the idiot light can come up on those cars though. Is it running rough or just the warning lamp?

Generally, adding significantly more weight to the order won't help your shipping cost

 

The shipping formula from coastal off-road is flat fee $160(maybe 140) per item. So if you email them they often offer a slight discount previously I got got a couple hundred knocked off the price ordering multiple items. But seeing as the skids are already on sale I wouldn’t expect more then $20-30 off per item

 

I sure got no extra to throw around.

 

Im pretty sure its a knock sensor but i lent out my scanner so i cant even check right now. Lol

My wheels aren't even here yet, and I already ordered the 5th gen 4Runner brake swap parts, along with a spare SKF wheel bearing...
