That's what I'm thinking. I'm takeing all the blame for this.
To bad my wife wasn't in the truck.
I could have blamed her. :):)

I installed 3rd gen sport hitachi struts in the front and bilstein 5100 in the back. I found my driver side cv boots are damaged so I am in for that another day. Debating on whether to get aligned and if so what spec. New cooper discoverer at34s 265/75/16 on 3rd gen rims. I also added the spacer on the driver side strut and it made the nuts not fully Engaged. I think it’s okay. It drives straight and seems good.
To change front struts I loosened upper control arm. Removed screw that attaches wire to uca. Removed tie rod end link to access ball joint. Removed skid plate. loosened sway bar. Tapped knuckle to separate ball joint. I never touched any alignment cams.

How did you paint your bull bar? I was considering powder coat or buying new black but not sure. Yours looks good though.

I've got a canopy with a camper in the back, I'm guessing this would just stink up the back with horrible differential stank? You think it would cause issues if I just extended it up a bit but not into the storage spot?

lol I didn’t even think about that...I don’t think you’ll really be able to smell it, and I guess it’ll work as a sign on when to change your fluid too ha

I hope not anyways, I have a bed rack and am buying a tent soon

Icon 3 leaf Add A Leaf installed with my existing 1" block gave me the perfect stance, and made such a huge difference in ride quality. No more bro lean but now I feel like I need to address the brake hoses. They're feeling you short for any flex.

Never ever heard or thought of that concern. @elricfate has your solution. That’s where I ran mine was into the taillight cavity. Ends up being about 10” higher anyway.

Finished stripping the chrome off all the parts that are going to be painted for my retrofit. Sourced a professional autobody shop whose going to spray them for me. They will spray an adhesion promoter before painting. When I did the BHLM I sprayed them myself with Krylon Fusion. It turned out pretty good but it doesn't compare to a professional finish.

Next step is to scuff everything to prepare for paint. I learned my lesson doing the BHLM last year, 400 grit sandpaper is way too rough. I picked up some grey scuff pads (~800 grit) and going to try and find some sanding paste to use with it. From what I've read these pads + paste is a much better solution than sandpaper when scuffing plastic for paint. Going to post a brief DIY thread when I'm done with all the tips I've picked up.
