Buying someone else's spot is a little less straightforward than it use to be. They're not building sequentially anymore. They're building based on your make/model to make the assembly process efficient.

That's all to say...spending a long time looking for a lower number may not really reap any benefits. It'd post here and the GFC forum and give it a week or less for someone to respond. After that, just purchase a regular spot. I think you'd get delivery by summer.

Graeme posted something on the fb group. He said the build numbers do matter, but they are working on getting new models added to their inventory, so they could just print out when that is available. Tacoma's were first, and I think Tundra. Ive seen some on a F150, and they are working on Colorado's now.

Im anxiously awaiting to confirm address and select my options. Im build 1670. They originally quoted me June 2021, so we are about 8 weeks out from June. :fingerscrossed: to any day now. I dont want to keep bugging them..

And I think spot 1688 is listed for sale too.

I don't care enough to post, why spend money on something I don't use? It would be like a hi-lift on an overlanding rig

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Thought I would give a shout out to GFC, specifically Big Mike! Dude was straight awesome. The new hinges look super solid and moreover, solidify my reasons for buying this camper.
The fact he drove out to ATL from Montana to fix this is unmatched.

I will be heavily considering a GFC for my Tundra after my conversations I had with Mike.
The culture and stance of GFC in their work environment; if only other businesses acted in this way, our country would be strong AF!

About to head up and have my GFC installed. Anything you all wished you'd asked while you were there and didn't?

Yup, "Do the awning brackets work on the back of the camper?"

They do not, but I bought some thinking they would.

Everything else is pretty straightforward. It's worth calling ahead and telling them if you need any accessories--the machine shop is about a quarter mile away from the install garage.

do you have the small roof antenna? How much room between it and the camper? would you say over 1" ?

Just asking, because I am going to put my KB voodoo bed rails on, and they supposedly sit 3/4" lower than the stock rails..

Had mine put on Friday, 1376.

What's the most genius thing everyone has seen for the truck bed floor? I don't want to leave it just the bed.
