    I ordered my Kenwood 8120 from them on 11/12 via EBay and PayPal (money was withdrawn from my account that day) and I haven't received any communication from them. All the phone numbers I find for them are no longer good except their 1-800 number. It asks you to leave a message, but the mailbox is full.

    Has anyone purchased from them successfully?? I'm getting pissed because they have A LOT of my money!

    I bought a head unit and speakers for my boat from them back in April without any problems... I bought directly from their website though. Hope it works out for you. The 8120 rocks.

    That's the normal process with Paypal. When you send the money it is theirs. It is not like when you enter a credit card and they bill you when it ships.

    Yep. I cut it short and grounded it to the ground wire on the same wire harness. Incredibly easy to defeat. Sometimes I put in DVDs of TV shows that I've already seen while driving... works great.

    On the other hand, from a seller's perspective, Paypal does not release the funds to the seller until a tracking number is uploaded that shows it was delivered. I sold some items on eBay last month where each item was more than $1k. Paypal wouldn't let me have the money until it was delivered or, in the eBay case, they left positive feedback.

    If the item doesn't arrive within a week, you should have no problem getting your money back from PayPal.

    That's exactly what I was thinking... I'm driving back to Texas for Christmas, so I thought I might have time to make it through the entire series of Seinfeld. Something I've seen before so I don't really have to pay attention to the video, but can hear and laugh... :)

    EBay just went WAY down on my list of preferred vendors...

    Well, that didn't happen in my case... PayPal sent my money to their account on 11/17. I have received NOTHING - no tracking information, no communication whatsoever.

    The money was withdrawn from you, but not necessarily released to them. If it's been a week with no communication then file charges with PayPal. you'll either hear from Hooked really quickly or get your benjamins back. Good luck!

    I filed a dispute with PayPal this afternoon. Amazing enough, I got an e-mail from them this afternoon with a tracking number. Apparently it was shipped on the 19th. No e-mail.

    Anyway, I'm reserving judgement until I actually get it, it's installed and working...
