Looking at getting a pop/ lock set up for my tail gate since I never got a key. Anyone have a personal preference on them??? I can lock my retrax cover but that doesn't do much good if my tail gate can't lock......

I put a few Amazon specials over the front two tires which were nice before tons of driving miles boogered up the lenses. I should I have put tape over them or something when not on the trails. They're easy to swap out though and I think were 20 bucks apiece.

I used the DIY approach. I think it was MESO's tutorial. Pretty easy and no problems since install.
Of course, I probably just needed to practice opening the tailgate more...

Just finished a presentation on disaster response and prep for a bunch of doctors and healthcare agencies. Got to lead it off with this pic in the PPT.

One of the guys in my agency made the comment that I could include a pic of the truck in the presentation thinking I wouldn't do it.

I'm officially out of the Toyota game. I traded in my truck for a Jeep JL. I needed something I can flat tow behind my RV. When we moved here my wife and I bought an RV instead of a house. Now I am considered a fulltime RV'er. The truck either with a dolly or trying to get drive shaft disconnects and what not would have been a hassle in my mind.

Don't the Jeep and the Tacoma both have to be configured similar for flat towing each time?

You can shift the manual transfer case on the Jeep to neutral, very few Tacomas have that feature

Jeeps have a manual t-case that has a neutral option.

Whoa, totally missed that we don't have Neutral. Makes way more sense now.

What the others have stated is true. Manual transfer case makes it easier. All the research I found basically said no go for flat tow for the Tacoma. The list of vehicles being able to be flat towed is getting smaller and smaller. Some electronic transfer cases can be flat towed. There is a process of telling the computer that the vehicle is being flat towed to prevent damage.
