I do know most of this but if they made my payments cheaper that means more months, right? I just wanna know what to watch for. I hope I'm right about my salesman and he's not a sleaze ball

 

Yeah, they can stretch your payments out like 8 or 9 years

Yeah, when I drove that one I probably only drove it a mile but he had me floor it and feel the hesitation of its acceleration and was explaining why it does that, which hurt my brain... but he said it actually has a but more horsepower now and a bit better on gas I think? He loves Tacoma's too, says he leases though.

 

He gets money off leasing when he sells so many vehicles so that's why he does it.

Yeah but negotiate the price of theirs first and then talk about your trade.

Trading does in some states mean you owe less sales tax versus selling your truck privately.

 

Seems crazy to try to negotiate a brand new truck that's not even built lol. Easier on a used one I would think and especially when they can't even keep them on thre lot but I'll always try anyways but still seems impossible. He already said he was going to save me $2500-$3000

This is true, but regardless you want to get the new vehicle price locked up first. If not, they could try to play the numbers game with the trade to make up for it. Could still happen the other way too.

I negotiated my trade but the one I bought (3 years used with under 7K) I knew going in wasn't going to be something I could haggle and I did try a little but wasn't shocked that it wasn't an option.

 

Ugh, I'm going back and forth all night trying to decide. I dunno why I'm so worried except the regular stuff like financial if something were to happen what the hell would I do type of thing but also will I be happy with it... is it really that different from my 2nd gen. I guess I'll know more when I get there also to see the info about it. I dunno if I can add or remove options on it since the build hasn't happened but that could be fun lol..

I'm supposed to try to bring my truck in on lunch but it needs a vacuum and cleaning inside and I'm not gonna be able to do it today so I dunno that id get a good offer with it being dirty...
