My wife found an very old red velvet cake mix in the pantry. She dumped it out in the yard on the snow for the what ever critters might be starving (remember we live just past the middle of nowhere).
A while later she got a very concerned call from a neighbor -- "..she was driving by and saw all that blood in the yard.." -- the way it was sprayed out it really looked like something big had taken a shotgun blast.

Huh... learn something new every day... it's always been a slang term for armoured crewman; comes from the fact that all the pockets in their crew suit or combat uniform have brass (non-sparking) zippers.
