Yeah I have a manual so my shift pints are all screwed up. Haha. Joking. Yeah the power comes in really late in these trucks. Seems like at 3500 rpm the truck comes alive and then you shift. Really wish the timing or whatever would come in at like 2800 rpm. That super charger kit looks enticing.

@mark@eibach, PL-039-00-249 is stamped on the spring. Can't find it on the interwebs though.

So, after doing some more googling last night, I noticed the part number stamped on the OE TRD Pro spring is the exact same format that Fox Racing Shoxs uses for their coil over springs. I reached out to the sales department requesting info and got a response this morning.
    Screenshot_20210323-091350.jpg

I was a little surprised at the response, but makes sense that Fox would provide the springs to their own shocks.

    Stock OEM TRD Pro springs : 12.25" x 3" ID x 650 lbs/in

    Eibach TRD Pro Lift springs: ??.??" X 3" ID x 620 lbs/in

Surprised to see the Eibach Pro springs coming in softer than the stocker. @79CHKCHK where did you get the info on the eibach spring rate?

BTW this matches what someone had measured previously: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2017-trd-pro-stiffer-springs.488168/#post-16856464

Took a snap of my 2019 pro. Not sure it’s the same number. Just wanted to list before I forgot. Haha.

so next question does fox make a spring with 700 lb/in or something compatible?

Thanks. So understanding the length of the new Eibach spring will be key here.
@mark@eibach something you can provide us?

@mark@eibach...any background to this claim by your predecessor? Not trying to start anything. Just trying to figure out what spring rate we have in the stock TRD Pro. Part number matches Fox coil over springs.

Yes, my conversation with one of the engineers while getting the test springs installed was to increase length to achieve lift. This is supposed to provide a stock quality ride with the lower spring rate. I will caveat this with I am not an engineer, but I will agree it was successful. I enjoy the ride better than stock, firmer and more planted with less body roll in turns. So far no bumper or winch for me. Only full aluminum skids and a cap, decked and tools in the bed.

Newbie question: strictly from a best practices perspective, at what point on a Pro would you need to consider upgrading the springs and/or shocks?
Meaning normal stuff - like a bumper and winch; I’d assume that OE is still fine?

If you like rock crawling and hitting the whoops, you'll find yourself bottoming out even with no extra weight and wishing you had more. From a best practices perspective though, you should be fine until you start adding armor.

Even with the “upgraded” pro setup?! Interesting. Thanks :)

Dont get me wrong, it's a fine suspension and does well on and off road and is definitely an upgrade over the OR suspension. If you're doing fire trails and light rock crawling it is very capable. But it's not a mid travel suspension.
