I've got a canopy with a camper in the back, I'm guessing this would just stink up the back with horrible differential stank? You think it would cause issues if I just extended it up a bit but not into the storage spot?

lol I didn’t even think about that...I don’t think you’ll really be able to smell it, and I guess it’ll work as a sign on when to change your fluid too ha

I hope not anyways, I have a bed rack and am buying a tent soon

Icon 3 leaf Add A Leaf installed with my existing 1" block gave me the perfect stance, and made such a huge difference in ride quality. No more bro lean but now I feel like I need to address the brake hoses. They're feeling you short for any flex.

Never ever heard or thought of that concern. @elricfate has your solution. That’s where I ran mine was into the taillight cavity. Ends up being about 10” higher anyway.

Finished stripping the chrome off all the parts that are going to be painted for my retrofit. Sourced a professional autobody shop whose going to spray them for me. They will spray an adhesion promoter before painting. When I did the BHLM I sprayed them myself with Krylon Fusion. It turned out pretty good but it doesn't compare to a professional finish.

Next step is to scuff everything to prepare for paint. I learned my lesson doing the BHLM last year, 400 grit sandpaper is way too rough. I picked up some grey scuff pads (~800 grit) and going to try and find some sanding paste to use with it. From what I've read these pads + paste is a much better solution than sandpaper when scuffing plastic for paint. Going to post a brief DIY thread when I'm done with all the tips I've picked up.

This stuff is fantastic. It's very harsh though so make sure to wear nitrile gloves. If it gets on your skin you will know right away, it burns lol. Also good to have some sort of ventilation. It's snowing here so I did it in my garage tonight instead of outside but I wore a respirator. It makes you feel sick if you breathe the fumes in, trust me lol. The directions on the bottle say it works better if you preheat your oven to 200 degrees before using it. This makes me think it would work even better if you preheat the plastic pieces before using it. It's -4 degrees here right now, I didn't want to shock the plastic going from hot to cold so I didn't test my theory.

How exactly did you go about doing this? I've tried the Easy off 2 or 3 times for chrome removal without any luck.

The nuts for the front struts on mine are the same way. The only way the strut could fall out is if the nuts backed out by themselves and the front wheels would have to leave the ground. I still used blue loctite on the driver's side front strut retaining nuts just because there's so few threads left. No problems on mine yet, it's been a couple months now.

Cool paint scheme. Did you paint your scoop insert? I replaced by hood last year and the unpainted plastic insert has started to fade to grey. But - I may paint it grey to highlight the grey on my Off Road's bed decals.
