Don't misunderstand, I wouldn't say they were legit unless they were quality. The can is a Valpro, who has been making jerry cans since WWI and is supposed to be the supplier for Wavian.

    Just sayin...

@ResearchMonkee Although, I will concede that the latching spout cover is a bit nicer. The cans are identical otherwise. They are all imported from Latvia.

I may have gone down a rabbit hole about it a couple of weeks ago...:anonymous:

I've been eyeballing the HF can since then, trying to convince myself that I don't need the latching spout cover. I hate CARB compliant cans so much, I might buy the Wavian just to get the nicer spout.

Both my water and fuel are wavian. I agree with @Shellshock they are quality.
The "other ones" I got for super cheap.

Glad to hear he wasn't impolite. What were the circumstances?

I really like the latching spout despite my hatred of CARB cans

Also @Juisebocks, I think this is something you'd appreciate. I present "my favorite screwdriver":

It has bevel gears and bearings in it

    Yep. CARB sucks

luckily wavian has an easy solution for that

    https://wavianusa.com/products/new-wavian-flexi-nozzle-black-html

I use this or a safety siphon depending on what I’m doing

No idea. Imported it from England about a decade ago. The only markings are "angle driver for moto". It's a motorcycle carb pilot screw driver; might be able to find it or similar with your researching prowess

I have two of those, they are a must-have. Safety siphon, too

That's probably just as good, but wasn't offered from where I bought my fuel cans

That was the least amount of researching I've ever done lol

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32931497713.html

Now if I could just find a boron-nickel nitride bolt carrier that doesn't cost $300 and is in stock, I'd be happy with my powers of research.
