I'm going to finish welding up my skid plates and change my oil. Couldn't find Shell Rotella Gas Truck in 5w-30 anywhere around, so I got Pennzoil Platinum to try instead.

I run Royal Purple in my truck, im at just under 160K. I had an RCI skid put on with the fumuto valve and had the mechanic go ahead and change my oil then. Im curious next time I go to change it how easy it will be with the fumuto valve.

I've ran the shell rotella gas truck for the past 15,000k and have been doing oil analysis to build some data using consistent drain intervals and oil type, so I'm kinda bummed I couldn't find it a 3 different Walmarts. This way if something goes wrong, I have something to compare too

The fumoto valves are pretty cool. With stock height its easy to make a mess with the drain bolt while trying to squeeze under there if I'm too lazy to jack it up, so may have to look into those.

Damn that does suck. Yea I never jack my truck up and I destroyed my factory skid on a stump that was hidden in tall grass last summer on a jobsite (that was fun). So the new skid was a must, Ill post in here the first time I change the oil with the fumuto but it looks like it should really make life easy.

Not much, never do anything fun...though I got new spacers for my carrier bearing to try and knock out the last little bit of vibes from 51-55mph.
I’ll probably wash the truck again this weekend too and possibly paint the emblems black.

The mudflaps I ordered from TufSkinz Etsy came the other day. I’m not sure how I feel about them. They’re not flexible, it’s like a hard plastic. They look nice but I’m not sure if I’ll keep them yet. I’ll have to wait and see how they look once I throw them on and make sure there is still no rubbing.

I forget if I asked this here, but how long did your stock shocks last? I asked on the Tundra forum in the MD thread and the towing thread over there and got crickets. I'm at 66k miles there. My truck is a pavement princess and a tow pig. My boat is my normal tow at about 5-6k lbs.

Not much fun planned for me this weekend, or any upcoming weekends. I'll be starting my painting project on my cabin Saturday. I prepped it last weekend. And my custom whiskey barrel vanity sink for the guest bathroom came in so I'll be installing that soon.
