I've been doing my best to learn as I go. I see words I know in there and I get the notion. If were at a bar I'd be nodding along because it sound awesome.

Today I learned about upper control arm through bolts. They are massive dicks. I learned a bit and cursed a bit. In the end I felt soggy but successful. Tomorrow if I can stand up straight I'll tackle the rear. I feel like I'm having fun playing checkers while @lightnfast is playing space chess. I feel like if I keep enjoying this and learning I'll get there eventually.

Anyone in the PDX group here that has done the clutch accumulator delete mod on their 3rd Gen happen to have the removed accumulator just sitting around as scrap to them?

I am interested in modding an accumulator itself to avoid having to diddle with swapping out for various additional hoses and couplers to fill in the blank once the accumulator is removed.

If it doesn't work out as I think it will, or I just don't like the feel, I can put my unmolested accumulator back in.

Hahah tell me about it! Having to source all the little bits instead of cannibalizing an existing case required so much research into parts from a truck I've never owned and am not familiar with in the least bit. That being said, after all this, I'd love to have a 1985 or earlier Toyota truck to build into a monster. They're just so damn cool. The 22R/RE engine makes my 5vz look like a Tesla motor.

Nah we're all doing our thing, but be careful. UCA through-bolts are a gateway drug to dual cases. That's how they get you.

I got the back end on today. Now I just need to torque everything down, cut the ubolts shorter, get an alignment, and hunt whatever gremlins I've created.

Some thoughts in no particular order: advertised lift over stock can be a surprising amount if you've been under stock (I got 3" in the front without adjusting preload because I was almost an inch low from bumper, winch, and my extra Covid pounds). I'm hoping the RXT option 2 leaf pack settles, I'm up 4". Power tools are godly, I did 3/4 of the job with pure hand tools. Uggadugga wins at unsticking leaf bolts.

I might join in for this.
I need to get an OHV permit. Is there a specific permit for 4wd trucks, or is is the same ATV permit for everything? It's been a few years and I can't remember.
Also, I have a couple of old Motorola handhelds that I'm pretty sure are GMRS. I'll be sure to bring those.

There is a link in post #1 for the Oregon ATV permit. Our trucks are considered Class 2.

Worth noting that I live in WA, but the Tillamook sheriffs I spoke with required me to have this Oregon permit even though I had a WA state Discover Pass. Just a heads up for people who might have heard differently (like I had).

Hey guys, so I ordered this flip fairlead license plate mount thinking I'd need it, turned out that I didn't. Victory wants a restock fee, so before I decide on just returning it I thought I'd ask if anyone in here might want to buy it off me? I'll sell it for $85 (Victory's price is $99) it's still in the box it shipped in and all wrapped up, never even taken out.

Man, that is tempting. I bought a greenlane and it just doesn't work/fit. This looks like a decent design. I wonder if I should come back to legal and get a front plate back on...

PM sent. Delivering items at less than MSRP. I think there might be a business model in there somewhere (although you would have to have a profitable server business to subsidize initial losses).

Had a mini Brown's Camp trip with @TacoTim85 & @C41n yesterday evening. Finally got to put my skinny 33s on some real trails. They definitely performed better than my KO2s I just had. Very happy indeed. Also, having a front facing camera was a bigger game changer than I was expecting, never felt so comfortable on trails. It took away so much stress and anxiety in moments where I use to have no idea what was in front of me due to our height and hoods.

Sorry, no pictures while on any trails, I get too in the moment of driving my truck, you all know how it goes...
