Yeah GX seems to be the “standard” for “good” across all. I know shimano has good stuff too but I only seem to ever hear “GX is baseline” and if it’s that or better you’re gonna be great.

I do want to try the baseline Deore stuff to compare to SX or NX, since I believe they use the same microspline tech found in XT / XTR.

I’m excited to get a good reason to get rid of the powerspline bb and go dub to see if I tell a large difference.

You won’t go back. Same shift feel as xt/xtr. I’d def splurge for the xtr shifter though.

5 rides in 6 days and it’s hard to stop. Really started warming up to the new Switchblade. Initial impressions coming from a 68° head-tube 140/120 bike:

It’s remarkably nimble around the low speed tight Northeast trails which was my main concern. Pedaling efficiency I found quite interesting, it pedals very well as long as you’re not crawling along on the 52t gear. It’s the kind of bike that rewards you greatly if you put the power down. It certainly loves rowdy high-speed trails as expected and I’ve found it’s very comfortable catching air. I find myself pushing my riding harder and harder with this thing.

Overall it feels like a 15% decrease in climbing/pedaling ability but a 40% increase in downhill/chunky riding ability compared to the Devinci Django I had.

Hey man, are you ever near Medford? I might be looking at a bike from there and would love to find someone that could ship it
to me in South Carolina. :anonymous:

Not to jump in here but I love sharing the cheatcode that is shipbikes.com. Their website is a little ghetto but shipping rates beat Bike Flights regularly and they pick up the phone when you call!

@ThaiChillyTaco Yes sir I’m in Woburn. Are you looking at JRA Cycles? That’s my local shop and where I picked up my Switchblade from. Let me know if you need anything.

Yeap that's the shop. They have a Marin Alcatraz I want but they do not ship. I'd be willing to pay for some gas and of course
    shipping.

Picked up a mint single speed last night. Lyric fork and I9 hydras . Should be a hoot and if it sucks I’ll gear it.

This- been riding AXS for a couple of years. Won't switch back to cables. Another benefit is that it takes minutes switching components back and forth between bikes.

Electric shifting to me just seems lazy. Just like e bikes.
