Another reason to hate MA (or Amazon, not sure who's really to blame here). Need a new knife for work as mine is pretty old and not really working any more. Find a few options on Amazon and get the message 'This item can't be shipped to your location, choose a different location'. WTF is this shit, I can't have a pocket knife anymore?

Guess you didn’t know that knives can attack folks on their own

Same thing happened to me when I tried to buy a filet knife on Amazon. Not even a scary pocket knife

One I would think of as well..though I'm dating myself with this one, I'm probably more likely to think of NWA first. Solo stuff of his though, hmmm..probably The Predator or Friday (the song from the soundtrack that is)

I closed out of it, I think it was a Kershaw Cryo. Honestly, I'll just order from Kershaw. I was trying to order this morning at work from Amazon, however my work computer wouldn't let me get on Kershaw's website because of their security BS... I think it's just Amazon's protocols that won't let them send it to MA. If I end up running into problems with ordering direct, my backup was going to be to have it sent to my parents' house since I'm going there next weekend for Easter. If that doesn't work, I may have to take you up on your offer and wire you some money! Thank you

I have to figure out what the problem is. Amazon won't let me ship it to NY either. I'm going to try direct from Kershaw. There's no legal issues with owning it here, Amazon is just being a little biotch it would seem.

I thought I heard of some big knife retailers (Smokey mountain knife works and bladehq) were restricting shipping to certain states as well. I remember seeing something about this in one of the fb knife groups recently but cant recall what states were impacted.

    What a pita.

I got on my phone (bypasses my companies security crap), Kershaw will ship direct but they're a lot more expensive than Amazon. What a crock of shit. I'll likely just go to Tractor Supply or Bass Pro this weekend and pick one up in person or take Noel up on his offer (assuming they'll ship to Maine).

I just did a little google homework, seems like it's something to do with shipping age restricted items to MA. Apparently, they won't ship kitchen knives either...

Not sure if I’d be blaming the manufacturers there. Maybe the guys running those states that make manufacturers rather lose sales than deal with the consequences or hoops needed to sell here.

You nailed it, not the manufacturer's issue, it's a ruling by state that makes it harder for the manufacturers to sell to states like MA. So, the state effectively banned or restricted something without outright banning or restricting it. They can still be sold in brick and mortar stores though.

lmao, I know all about that.

Part of my job is to review a potential customers website. Half the time I cant load the website because of our company’s damn web blocking and have to look it up on my cell. Corporate sillyness.

Nevermind, they'll ship kitchen knives, I just put a few in my cart to see if I got the same result and it would let me buy them.

It worked great, but it goes through the detergent really quickly. I'm most impressed with the surface cleaner. I used it on my concrete patio and it made the concrete many shades lighter with almost no effort.

In a K-12 district I am obligated to filter students if we want to keep our ERate funding but there is no requirement for staff. I think my only blocked categories for them are pornography, malware/phishing, and illegal sites. Basically the stuff that would get them fired, stuff we wouldn't want popping up in front of kids, and stuff that could hurt the PCs or district.

I’m being serious when I say this :

Its nice of you to protect them from themselves. Theses days it’s tough to know what’s gonna get you in trouble down the road. So to just have it be a non issue is in a way a perk they might not realize yet.

edit: my school got all new iMacs which were the cool colors back then, maybe wrong name but you know what I mean. They were donated from the college and the school was connected to the internet! So they had to have class to teach us internet and we got to play the stock market etc...

I remember they had us learn to research and asked us something about the President.

well, whitehouse.com is quite different than what we thought it would be. Lol the days before people like you were around!
