MESO Interior Chrome Delete Kit

I've mentioned a few times that I've had good success with bleach + rattle can. I don't think the bleach was even necessary or essential, just light scrub with green scotch brite or sandpapper perhaps. I seriously suck at painting but I think mine came out good.

The shift boot collar, on the other hand, seems substantially more difficult.

Removing the cupholder surround is trivial as well, I'm not sure why others don't attempt this.

I'm more hesitant to paint than to replace for some reason. It may or may not be logical.

Very happy with the MGM vent rings, 4x4 ring and black out steering wheel emblem. Climate rings are next, Cali Raised had some in stock. Just need the handle covers now.



I painted my mirror control knob... Will probably paint the cup surround when I remove the center console for for outlet mod.



Vinyl cup surround decal from TVD, for now. He was also nice enough to throw in a few strips for the shift collar which will be a temporary fix.

That wasn’t directed at you or I would have quoted your post. I was asking MESO about why this interior chrome delete kit doesn’t include the rings around the HVAC vents. From what I can tell it only includes the start stop ring, shift knob ring, and cup holder trim.

 

They were released at a different time as a different kit

 

Ah, I incorrectly interpreted your cryptic message. Im not the smartest, but if all that was supposed to be gleaned from your original post then I need to work on my critical analysis.

Correct. Vent rings are a separate item/package. The “chrome delete” kit include evening below the radio. (Start, 4x4, shift and cup holder)

 

Vent rings should be considered the cover charge before you can start doing mods to your truck. The ante. The buy in.

The manual transmission model would not use the start button or the shift collar, and the cup holder surround is different. So, the only part of the kit that is usable for a MT is the 4x4 knob. Thankfully, it can be ordered separately. (Which I have done.)

On my 2021, the climate control rings are already in Magnetic Gray (or something close). That would be the color to go for, to make everything consistent.

I'm waiting for the vent rings to become available again in MGM.

 

Thanks for this, it would've sucked if I got the cup surround and found it didn't fit my MT. Waiting now for black 4x4 ring to become available again. Any ideas on when/if @MESO will have an MT version of the cup surround out?

I'm patiently waiting on the black shift trim to come back in stock. I should've just bought the whole kit to begin with. I'm tempted to buy whole kit now and sell the push to start and 4x4 trim pieces.
