Shake the bottle, set the parts on cardboard or something to protect the floor, spray the shit out of them, wait about 15 minutes, scrub with a rag. 90% of the chrome came off without scrubbing on most of the parts. The Morimoto shrouds must have had a thicker layer of chrome, they required more time and a little more scrubbing.

I was trying to remove the chrome from my grill emblem. Maybe I just need to let it sit longer. Thanks.

Made a small platform for the rear drivers side. Would have liked to do the whole back seat but I have an 11 year old niece that would be mad if she couldn't ride in Uncle Ed's truck. Used a piece of 3/4" mdf that I had laying around, plus I already had the d-rings and the short piece of 1 1/2" steel that I used. Attached it using the factory hinges so it still tilts forward and I can access the factory storage area if needed. After taking these photos I ran the router around it real quick to ease the edges. Going to probably just paint it tomorrow.

Got aligned this morning. Driving good! Changed front wheel bearing/hubs from 05Taco4x4's press service. Got lawn and garden on my parking brake line that was rubbing my icon rxt hardware.

Did you not drill out the bolt hole on the OE bracket that holds the brake line? I took a slightly larger drill bit to the hole and it worked just fine.

Yeah maybe try and let it soak for half hour or so. It doesn't seem to damage the plastic at all, give it a little more time to work. I'd try heating the emblem in the oven next time. The bottle says it cleans ovens best if you preheat to 200 degrees. I'm assuming this logic will apply to stripping chrome as well.

I thought about it but I'm just gonna cut those brackets off with a grinder. I think..

Interesting approach. I used wire loom but that looks cooler lol. I believe that bolt should be the other way so that the bolt itself is less susceptible to puncture into the gas tank.

Edit: Then again, should something catch on fire, you’re partially ready with your water hose lol! Sorry sorry

How you get the black hazard and did you rewire the ac controls from a newer gen? Thanks

    Same as everybody else...
March Maintenance Madness continues. Flushed radiator and refilled with the pink stuff. Also drain and fill my AT. Had both done at my local dealer cause I'm old and have a sketchy back. Next up is a brake job, probably in June or July.20210326_134925.jpg
