overlander.com CBI Skid Plates

Hey Everyone,

I am looking to buy a CBI front skid plate and found this site called www.overlander.com and they sell it with free shipping. I was wondering if anyone has ordered from them before because other sites are asking for about $250+ shipping for the same skid plate. I tried looking up the site on trustpilot and a few other sites but nothing has been reported on the site. Just want to confirm if other people have ordered parts from them.

Overlander.com is a site from the expedition overland guys, it's legit.

That being said, you might want to check the fine print, I'm 95% Sure they charge for shipping on freight items

 

Yep, may wanna call them to see if the skids are free shipping.

So if you order the skid plates 1 by 1 instead of the entire Skid plate they don't charge you freight fees. I just ordered the front skid plate and only paid tax and got free shipping.

 

Is this true? Also, its like a 6 week lead time, so do you have to stagger your orders by weeks?

 

I have only ordered my front skid plate and instead of it costing $1,031.02 from like tacomabeast.com. I was only charged like $630 for the front skid plate with free shipping and no freight fees from ovelander.com. Same material and paint job. I called to ask if there was any hidden freight charges and I was told if I purchased the entire skid plate they would have to charge me but since I only purchased the front skid plate he said they wouldn't charge a freight fee.

 

Hi - I just tried to place an order through overlander.com for the CBI front skid plate but can’t seem to get the free shipping. Shipping appears to be $249 and then another $52 in taxes. Was there a special method/coupon needed to reflect the discount in cart? Thank you!

 

I'm pretty sure they just made a mistake and let a bunch of people get free shipping, realized their mistaken corrected it.

 

Hi - Yeah, an overlander.com service rep returned my email to say that CBI had changed their shipping policy due to damages while in transit. No reason not to trust overlander but that just doesn’t add up to me.

 

I would not order from this company - I ordered a shovel mount and it was backordered so I canceled it. Overlander said they would credit my account. about a week after canceling my order it showed up. I contacted them and they said they would send me a return label. Several days went by with no return label, so I contacted them again. They said to give them a day to get me the return label. Several days passed and still no label. I have since contacted them several more times - but they have never responded. Customer service is abysmal - I will now have to contact my credit card company to do a chargeback in order to get my refund.
