It'll be fun to look through them again.

Got my old slides of call for fire, radio etiquette, etc as well.

Oddly enough I have the rosters for my platoon with their info including social. I had all that being a squad leader, never realized I still had it all.

Reasoning behind Iowa is they have probably the best whitetail hunting anywhere and statistics wise they rank very high. Super low cost of living, decent average salaries, and low crime.

I think of places to live in terms of my outdoor preferences, I can't be somewhere without mountains and forest accessibility and public land. The midwest (pretty much anywhere east of CO) is all excluded for me

The low cost of living is nice but quality of life is a big one too, however that's all very subjective and everyone's different in that department

I work with a guy from Iowa, can confirm based off his stories and pictures, whitetail deer hunting in that state is fantastic.

Hope you like tornados and corn if you decide to go there tho lol

Flat ground is nice if all you do is street race/tracks and such.

Last weekend we had some old redneck drunk fat guy try to join us drinking and when we told him he had to leave for liability reasons he started talking big shit about how he wouldn’t leave unless we physically removed him and started telling us he was DOD so we couldn’t fuck with him. A couple hours after we convinced him to leave the cops show up at his trailer for a domestic dispute unrelated to what happened with us and stopped by to talk to us on the way out..... They ran his badges or whatever and turns out he is a security guard at a naval base that vastly overestimated his jurisdiction.

Couple years ago this happened... wish I could find the 5 minute clip where this woman attempted to "throw her weight around" because she was a police commissioner for the port authority

If The Wire has taught me anything, it's that people who have authority over the ports make a ton of money under the table doing deals with traffickers to keep black market goods moving throughout the world.

Last time I donated blood the nurse missed the vein or went through it or whatever and the blood wasn’t flowing so she started messing with the needle. I have to look away for the big ones when donating blood but it started hiring like hell so I look over and she is just movin the needle around in my arm without pulling it out to try to catch the vein I guess... I told her no thanks and walked out, had a bruise covering my arm for a month and haven’t donated blood since.
