Do we know how much lift the rear shock can/should accommodate?

thanks for the response, guys.....yeh...i'm really wondering if adding extra lift is detrimental to the rear shock length. ..i didn't think it would be an issue, but it doesn't hurt to ask before i put in my order....thanks again!

Yep, grille installed. About 1,000 miles later, not a single issue. I bought the oem garnish as well.

You'll be fine with the 1.25" block. The Deaver AAL I'm doing is supposed to be 1.5-2" and I'm not worried about it. These are pretty comparable to 5100's and people add more rear lift with those. I'm more just curious what the comfortable ceiling is, 2", 2.5", 3"?

Assuming they are just 5100's, Bilstein recommends only 1" of lift. There are plenty of guys on here running 5100's with 2" rear lifts though. I personally think up to 2.5" is fine (maybe hardcore off-roading would be an issue?). Like most questions on TW, some guys will say absolutely max is manufacture spec of 1", another guy will say they run 4" no problem (maybe exaggerating, but you get the point). As a general rule, the more lift you have, the less droop you'll have since the shock will max out quicker.

I got dinged with a big calibration bill though. I think the seat feels better too (I already have desert does it jackers)
Now the real question is how do I get my front camera back in there? I have the anytime backup camera with an upgraded front natika camera but the space in the new grill is pretty much a cube, my old camera is a wedge with a bolt on the vertical axis. Oem listed at $400, while a kenwood is $99.

The front camera threads have some detail on this. There is a bracket which fits the hex shape sold by yotaled (I have one I haven’t ever used.) The easiest way is to drill the plastic under the letters and mount it from above. I can see how some might be hesitant to do that with a real OEM grille though. Mine was a cheapo knockoff and I didn’t know about the bracket at the time. I also stumbled on taco vinyl’s mount while doing some quick searching for you.

This grill has a mount already in place. It sits on top of the lettersD91E196B-3C3D-4833-823B-9C152A2647F1.jpgthat’s just a blank in there now, comes free of charge

OEM Lift Kit, 4Runner TRD Pro wheels, BFG KO2 265/70R17 tires, OEM black emblems, tacos4cheap TRD emblem, TVD vinyl grille/tailgate letters.
My Tacoma arrived last night at my dealer, picked it up today, ordered the lift kit, and hopefully getting it installed by my dealer by the end of next week. Plan is to add the 16” TRD Pro Wheels and BFG KO2s at same time. First Toyota/Tacoma for me.

That's where I got mine. It took awhile for Toyota to clear it though.

Hey guys, anyone know if this could be installed on a 19? Talked to the dealer today and the parts guy said no reason why it couldn't be. Going to inquire further.
