Reminds me of all those stupid 20 random-facts-about-yourself quizzes that circulate all over Facebook, basically a hacker's wet dream every time someone answers those and posts it

Bow or rifle hunting? And do you usually hunt elk and mule deer then whatever else?

I applied at one place in Arkansas but honestly hogs do way more damage then hunting them would ever be worth. Arkansas has a few big whitetail and a good amount of public land for a state east of Kansas (I would say Missouri and Mississippi do as well). Iowa the average buck will knock any other states out of the water in my opinion.

Missouri is nice and 2021 they are having their second elk season and first bear season but I already have a lifetime hunting license there and out of state hunting in Missouri is stupid cheap for whitetail in my opinion so it would be better to get in state rates on another state. ($250 for fall bow season permit which is two any deer tags and two turkeys)

    Hell yeah

Gonna be kind of far from where we'll be though, going to the Table Rock, MO area. Although we are driving more central a ways to visit my grandparents

I usually buy an elk tag every year, if you wanna spend the money you can get a permit for archery, muzzy, and rifle general season. Still haven't killed an elk with my bow but I usually only put in a week or so during August, so not very good odds. We get land owner anterless tags every year too, that's pretty fun, low stress. Draw a general season deer tag every other year it seems, plenty of opportunity there.

Limited entry stuff can be drawn every 5 or so years of decent units, the better ones can take over 10 easy.

If you are going to be in the Table Rock area and need to escape with your wife and get a change in scenery, you won't be too far from Eureka Springs AR.
