How much are you planning to lift it?

I am not sure what I am going to get out of the springs, I have read people can get between 1" and 3" depending on which setting they put the shock at. I am planning to start on the first setting and go from there to achieve a level ride height.

I'm pretty sure with the Bilstein 5100's you can only change the notch setting if you are using the factory OEM coils. For this case, the notch setting determines the amount of lift you get.
If you go with OME coils, the 5100's should only be set at the lowest notch setting. For this case, there are different OME coil options and the coils determine the amount of lift you get.

I was actually looking at 265/75r16's at lunch today...pre lift, that might be the size I go with...I am deciding between Dick Cepek Trail Country's; Cooper Discoverer AT3 4s; or Hankook Dynapro AT2's...

I don't have mudflaps...and the truck actually looks like it might have a bit of lift from the factory? It sits higher up on the tires than some of the other SR5's that i see driving around...or maybe the 2021's sit higher up than past models?

The lift doesn’t matter unless we are talking drop bracket or body lift. A lift kit just adds more tension to the existing suspension geometry and holds it higher off the ground at rest. The wheel and tire still move through the exact same range of motion.

Picture yourself doing a push-up and hold yourself off the ground with your elbows at a 90* angle and then doing the same 6” higher off the ground. The range of motion remains the same.

cool...good to know. I am not "jonesing" for a lift yet, and am still new to a lot of this mechanical stuff with the truck, so it is good to learn!!

A 265/75r16 is a Great tire. It has those magical proportions that look nice and chunky and bigger than it is. It won’t kill your mileage or power, and you can wheel it hard and not rub.

I am definitely sold on the size...would that fit comfy on an 8" wide rim, or do I need to go that wide?

I just have to nail down the tire brand now...

I did get the 5100 and 884 OME coils put on. 5100s set at first setting and the Deaver AAL in the back. Brought the truck up about 1" all the way around. no more rubbing on the back of the fender but some slight rubbing on the forward "mud flap" in a full locking turn. Will prob just remove those little forward "mud flaps"
I hope this is not true. I was hoping to move it up to the next notch when I ad the front hitch receiver to keep the rake from getting too bad.

Any before and after lift pics? How's the ride quality now?

I forgot to take any before pics but I did measure each wheel well and I know the whole truck came up about 1" all the way around. Surprisingly the front lean is gone thanks to the 1/4" spacer but now the rear drivers side is leaning about 1/4". I was expecting closer to 1.5" or 2" in the front with the 884 springs and 5100s set at 0 but oh well. The truck still has a 1" rake which I may just live with at this point.
    Here is the after pic

Looks really good though! Do you still have the factory UCA'S or did you install new ones?

No, I am running the stock UCAs and LCAs. I wanted to keep the lift at or under 2" so I didn't have to replace them and I don't plan to. My shop did say that the adjusters for the alignment were pretty stuck and maybe I want to replace those the next time I need an alignment, thankfully it was within spec this time.

That's good, I want to do a 2 in lift or so but don't want the extra cost of UCAs and LCAs so it sounds like this is a good option.

Hi, Hopefully someone doesn't mind and old thread being reopened. I have a 2019 TRD OR With Cooper Rugged Treks in the stock size 265/70/R16. I do not want to lift it or level it or anything. I don't want any bigger tires. If I go with less offset will it cause issues with alignment or anything like that? how much is ok before it's too much, and how about how much to still keep the tires under the fender flares? Thanks guys, I appreciate it.
