Bacon press better have a green handle to go with that logo.

I got one of those USB/12V adapters for my M12 batteries, so convenient.

Oh yeah, got one of the M18 versions of that for camping, super nice. That also reminds me I’ve got the Milwaukee fan in my camping stuff as well!

Once my 4 and 7 year old boys prove they can handle their 18v Makita then I might let them borrow the Milwaukee.

Pool setup begins tomorrow! Noticing a temperature trend where it’s often breaking into the 90s. Can’t have that!

Honestly a little terrifying. Turns out the thing I was most worried about, the bucket self rescue was the easiest part of the week. We started Monday with reading a few hundred page safety manual that contained all the ways we could die or get fired. Turns out working in a 115kv substation is dangerous! But by today when we started going over the nuts and bolts of how the job works, how our laptops and software works, and how they didn’t make you go up in a 60’ bucket truck if you don’t like heights, plus some real world switching of 13.5 kv lines yesterday, I feel way better about the job and what is expected of us. I think it will be a really cool experience to do some things I’ve never done before while getting paid to do so.
Thanks a lot for asking Shane, it means a lot. Any luck with showing the house/ store?

Pretty much just a clutch puller. If you want to do everything like the manual says you need specialty stuff, but not 100% necessary. Like they want you to use a couple of crank jigs to press the crank into the main roller bearing. Well I don’t have those. So once I plastigaged the rod bearings and installed them, I chucked the crank in the freezer over night, then put the case with bearing installed in front of the garage furnace just before I pulled the crank out the next day. A few light taps with a rubber mallet to square up everything, then a light press and it was together. Then boom, no special jig required. Other than that, just 3 timing chains to sync, then some nuts and bolts and a big fat bill!
