Probably. I’m getting close to 15 with the limited driving I’m doing now.

I never get over 260 miles on a tank.

Yea I'll be the ECO guy around here since that's been the biggest challenge with tuning.

100% the best way to get fuel economy on these trucks is to get as much power out of them first, then dial back gradually with airloads, direct injection, and adjusting valve timing to fix the atkinson cycle from wasting on the low side.

What gets the tacoma is low end acceleration takes a ton fuel, the way I address this is to adjust the tune to target having the instant mpg line almost directly follow the vehicle speed until around 25-30mph. This has typically averaged 17-18 city mpg and 20-23 at interstate speeds.

Charts lost the axis labels on these ones. Left to right on the scales are as follows: Trip Distance; Instant MPG; Total MPG; Vehicle Speed
My latest drives through hills with 25mph winds on VR 2.0.2:

    ADB5F8B0-DE8E-4551-8861-2ADA1D937AB2.jpg

Peep around 300-400 seconds on the last chart. Cruised at 80mph with a slight incline. Instant MPG trailed under 20 for a split second. It's hard to get 80+ runs in Ohio with the 60mph speed limits.

I also prioritize trans braking at low speeds with very specific rev matches. Saves not only brake pads but will occasionally send the instant mpg tracking well over 100. Gets annoying to look at on the charts but it does make you smile

The GrEtAtHuNbErG approved (not really) Ultimate_Mileage tester tune. Try it if you like, or don't.
Set up for 04B04 stock gears and 33s.

And someone said this thread was dead... The advice and tips keep coming in gradually.

Maybe we finally climaxed with the tip in discussions and now need to look to pull out a little towards saving some $$$ on gas. (Prices are breaking $3/gal in some parts of Ohio already)

One more tester tune: Try if if you like, or don't.
If you do try, please provide feedback. I'm just fiddling.
Goal here is SPG not MPG

Remember let’s try to see KCLV above 20 and knock F/B value below 3.8.

so far @Chadr7858 has the best numbers to date.

I’m testing multiple tunes with my heavy ass truck in Missouri. And the shitty hills and backroads where I live.

    More tip in... obviously

Increased some go-go tables. It's just a spunky version of Ultimate Daily. The MK stands for Moose Knuckle, cuz this b*tch got balls.
