We got an offer this week, $41k less than asking which kind of offended us, our realtor acts we should take it. Not sure what he’s thinking. We have another showing in the morning at 8:30. We've had lots of interest but we also don’t have to sell so we’re not settling for a low ball offer.

Since he said that he wasn't told one way or another, based on the fact the kid came home with a W4 to fill out and was told orientation for everyone is the middle of April, we're assuming he got the job.

There's always a learning curve, even if you are doing the same job for a different company. It'll take time but you'll settle in!

Around here nothing has sold in the last 6 months for asking price, it’s all gone for 5-10k MORE than what the asking price was set at. At $41k less, I’d have told the realtor to have them come back with a better offer when they are serious about buying. They sound like tire kickers to me. You could always counter offer with 30k more than you were asking in the first place

 

Right on my friend! It’s a little steeper of a curve going from a cushy university job to whatever the hell this is I’m guessing but I’m committed now!
Also apparently there are 345kv stations as well, I hope I don’t get to one for quite a while!

 

Definitely don’t settle on a lowball offer, this market is a sellers domain! I didn’t realize your convenience store shared your property, that sure is a nice feature.
The only problem with a strong selling market is trying to buy a new place after the sale.
