I'm officially out of the Toyota game. I traded in my truck for a Jeep JL. I needed something I can flat tow behind my RV. When we moved to Texas my wife and I bought an RV instead of a house. Now I am considered a fulltime RV'er. The truck either with a dolly or trying to get drive shaft disconnects and what not would have been a hassle in my mind.

If any of you make it to the Dallas area look me up. I'll buy ya a beer and take you to the best BBQ (my opinion) in the state.

Congrats! How is the RV life full time? I’ve been wanting to do that for awhile, but it’s always cool to hear real-world perspectives from folks doing it.

Hardest thing to do is down sizing. You will need to somehow get rid of 90-95% of what you own. You can get a storage unit to help with family heirlooms and sentimental stuff you just can let go. We have a small one. I did a lot of research and talk to my parents (they also fulltime) you will need at least 40' RV. Ours is currently 43'. We started with a 31'. We quickly ran out of storage. Small closets, fewer cabinets smaller "basement storage". Start with looking at floor plans. Do you want a big shower, more closet space, more counter top space, queen or king bed, bunks if you have kids or grand children.

A lot to think about. PM me if you have any questions. I check the forum almost daily.

Not my first rodeo. 3rd Jeep owned. Last one was a 2005 TJ Rubicon on 35's

    You’re not wrong...

But really, I’ve got two trips in and I’ve been driving this bitch a bunch to work. That’s at least 12 miles. The people of CA seem to love my VA plate.

Spotted @Dex__43 in my driveway ( back visiting from Missouri). Got a lot done with him today. Replaced CV/Diff dust seal (was leaking), drilled through my bruteforcefab bumper to install the BAMF bumper reinforcement brackets, drilled through sliders and frame to finally install the bamf tcase skid and complete the trilogy after getting my exhaust reroute earlier this week, installed durobump front bumpstops, greased driveline, and removed the sway bar.

What's up yall, I am looking for a swing out to fab up to my rear tube bumper. Does anyone have an extra from a dual swing out or have one they decided to take off of their rear?

Anyone recommend a place San Jose or Santa Cruz the specialize in alloy rim repair and powder coat? Looking for a one stop place that can remove the tires, sandblast, paint and reinstall. Paint on the BMW wheels is peeling off in sheets

That wheel may already have been repaired. BMW doesn’t paint, they usually powder coat.

if it’s been repaired, you may not be able to repair it again.

Wheel Techniques in Santa Clara. 408-496-6363.

There’s another place, Brothers Wheel Repair also I n Santa Clara. 650-921-9763.

I’ve used Wheel Techniques in the past. They’re pretty good.

Anyone have any tips on getting Blanton’s for anywhere near retail in Sac? Aha

Just found some at a Bourbon / Liquor store for $150 + tax and he wouldn’t budge.
