    Yes...but lunchbox lockers ratchet and make a bunch of noise when freewheeling as the disengaged teeth skip past each other.

    Clear/replace your diff breather before? If no, you should think about it. #1 preventable repair imo.

    I'm sure you would've noticed but then again, maybe not... Check the backing plate. Any oil?

    I could've sworn I was having similar behavior when that axle seal went to crap. Just a thought.
