Light was on when I picked up the truck; The guy who said the install thought it had something to do with the computer being disconnected for over two hours, and believed the light would go out if the truck was driven a couple miles...

I’m trying to get the cruise control to work; I tagged you in that other post...

Cruise control won’t activate and traction control light is on.

So here’s what happened at the dealership; I know most of the service writers there, but the one I felt with today was this guy who looked barely old enough to buy alcohol.

He was wearing a cloth mask, and there was a clear plexiglass divider between us; I was wearing my “Darth Vader” respirator. He said he couldn’t hear me, so I lowered the mask below my nose...

He starts bitching at me that I have to keep my mask on, when there’s a fucking partition there!

    :annoyed:

On top of that, the service manager is one of few I’ve never met (My favorite service desk guy at Thompson Toyota is an older guy named Dallas, but I haven’t seen him in a while), and he seemed to take an almost immediately dislike to me. The guy who did the walkaround of the loaner Corolla before handing me the keys explained that he was pissed about working on a Saturday.

As someone who detailed cars at another dealership for almost a year and had to work damn near every Saturday, I sympathize with him in that respect, but I also amazed to make it through every Saturday shift without acting like a dickhead to customers and coworker!

I know they’re gonna figure it out, but keep in mind that this is the same dealer that tried to charge me $1,700 for a brake job three years ago (my dad was out of town and my friend had to threaten them to get them to change the price).

The motherfucking place that installed the cruise control broke the clock spring and some sort of wheel position sensor, which the dealer quoted as costing $981; This could turn into a lawsuit.

The clockspring and some sort of wheel sensor are broken. They were most certainly not broken when the truck went in; This could quite possible turn into a lawsuit.

I’m not that crazy; I’ve got solid evidence and a good lawyer, so if they want to be dicks about this I’ll take them to court.

Interesting, if that's indeed the case sounds like someone turned the clockspring with the steering wheel removed that's a big no no, any competent mechanic should know not to do that most of them have warnings all over them not to. The steering angle sensor is attached to the clock spring so that would make sense if it's broken too.
