Voodoo Blue thread, Let's see yours!

Haven't even had it 24 hours and I already swapped in some Pro tail lights and replaced all the yellowish incandescent bulbs with LED.

 

beautiful truck!!! that is my favorite color! you have my dream truck there...... i hope you read up on the LED vs Halogen thread... a lot of those LEDs are horrible when placed in a housing designed for Halogens....i found out the hard way....after $$$ spent on LEDs, effort involved in installing them, aiming them etc...only to find out while yes, they are whiter, they didnt actually put any more light on the road in front of me....so i went back to premium halogens.....huuuuuge difference. just not as white

 

Thanks! I have the factory LED headlights and fog lights. The only thing I changed were the license plate lights, dome lights, and reverse lights.

So, I got rear ended on Monday which caused $10k worth of damage but no frame damage to my 2017 BBP TRD Sport. I am seriously considering trading it in for a 2021 in Voodoo Blue but not sure how I feel about the color compared to my BBP. I have heard photos don't do it justice so I need to see one in person I suppose.

I think Cavalry Blue is the way to go. Voodoo blue is very similar to 'blue flame' which is pretty common on the RAV4 if you want some comparison. Voodoo blue is likely the most rare 3rd gen color because I've only seen 2 tacos with it and both were TRD Pro (the color has been out for 2.5 years)

 

I thought I read somewhere Toyota stopped offering CavalryBlue and Quicksand for 2021 models.

 

yea cavalry was only for 2018 and 2019. The color is also a unicorn, especially for the Pro in 2018

 

Voodoo Blue Access Cabs are really rare! Mine is the only one that I've seen in the area where I live. The rest have been 4 doors.
I accept the fact that I have a unicorn, and it gets more attention than I thought it would.

I wanted an AC Voodoo Blue 6MT so bad I went to Florida for it (I live in Dallas, TX). At the time it was the only one I could find in the nation and I had been looking for 4 months prior.

That said, I think the rarest color is the Windchill Pearl (which is quite stunning, much much better than Super White). That one is only available on two trims (TRD Sport and Limited) and I think only for 2020 and 2021.

 

Such a great looking truck! Voodoo Blue manuals are already extremely hard to find, I can't imagine how much searching it took to find one in an access cab. I would've definitely went for an access cab if it weren't for the fact that my whole reasoning behind getting the Tacoma was to haul our baby around.
I just went from VA to Amarillo, TX to get my voodoo blue 6MT last weekend. I specifically wanted Voodoo Blue, manual trans, off-road trim, LED lights, tech package, and cloth seats. It's pretty much like a 1/10,000 configuration. It was well worth 2 days of my time and a $260 plane ticket to not have to wait 3-6 months on a special order.

 

I remember when you picked yours up. I was still waiting for mine to be delivered (I ordered mine).
We may not have the rarest color, but we have the rarest cab configuration, and you definitely have the biggest unicorn.
But I too would've gotten a manual if my wife could drive one.
