Well I couldn't wait, every time I drove my 3rd gen I wished someone would hit me hard enough to total the the damn thing out. I always liked the exterior of the 2nd gen Frontier. It's simple and basic. The visibility reminds me a lot of my 1st gen Tacoma.

In the end Nissan was offering a decent amount of incentives and the trade in value on my Tacoma was good enough to make the switch. There's a lot of things that Toyota got right on the 3rd gen, but in the end it wasn't enough to overcome the poor QDR I had with mine.

It's just the resale value that disintegrates on the Frontier.

I know that forum is deader than dead.

Maybe Frontier owners are out overlanding, but likely unloading lawn mowers, weed eaters and pool cleaning supplies

Not a bad thing if you’re buying used though. Just sucks for people who buy them new.

Titans are even worse than the frontier. Damn near free after a few years :p

It’s not that bad. Not as good as a Tacoma, but certainly nothing like a domestic vehicle.

There was a time I bought a used one owner R53 Cooper S with detailed service records that was described as mint. It sure looked the part, but I wasn't surprised to find I needed to spend another $2500 in parts and two weekends to get it up to my level of mint. I know it sounds rich, but i'm over buying used vehicles. I can't say i'll never buy used again, but i've had enough for awhile.

I'm too picky and to think some poor bastard is going never know some woman shit in my passenger seat of my old Tacoma. There was also lots of other things that happened in that Tacoma.

It will take some market shares from Tacoma but will not by any means kill it. Not to mention that the 4th Gen is around the corner which Nissan will have to compete with.

I doubt it will even put a dent in the market.

That said, as soon as the new Pro4 hits the lot I will be giving it a serious test drive. I loved my 2000 crew cab. I'd be all over this one too normally if it weren't for the lack of aftermarket. Not saying it's impossible to charm me away from my meso dash and done light, but the battle is just a bit farther uphill because of it.

I'll drive it when I sell the hog and get back in a mid size in a few years but I haven't been impressed with anything Nissan in a while. The Titan interior was really cheapish. I hope they step it up with the Frontier.

I'll never understand the silly nannies on this site who want their Tacoma for racing. The HP numbers are fine. It's a truck.
