    Yep. This is one of the disadvantages of switching to an LT/E - run at the same psi the load rating might be lower than an SL.

    But I gotta give you credit for paying that much attention.

    I read it as stock is 2403# @ 35 and my new tires are 1945# @ 35.

    "Passenger type tires are fitted with a 10% overage in load capability when used on SUV's, Light Trucks, and Vans because of the difference in load handling. This load overage can be removed when changing to an LT type tire."

    I overlooked this initially so yeah I did miss a step.

    I run 265 70 17 as well and when I had my 4R pro wheels installed with those tires at the toyota dealer they inflated to 35psi as well. Go figure.

    Here is a calculator that allows you to find the ideal pressure for any size tire based on OEM size and pressure: Of course, one can always fine tune things to their own preference. But, this is a good starting point.

    OEM tire is a euro-metric 265/7016/112.
    tr1.jpg

    P-metric and euro-metric are de-rated for use on SUVs and trucks by a factor of 1.1.
    LTs need not be de-rated. See page 11 of Toyo pdf.

    So...
    2,149/1.1=1,954
    LTs have a target weight of 1,954 lbs

    between 35 and 40 psi...
    2,135-1,945=190
    5psi=190lbs
    1psi=38lbs
    So...
    36 psi=1,983lbs

    Close. According to the tire pressure calculator at Tiresize.com he should be at 38.

    I cheated and made it easy on myself and used 35 PSI since I had the same PSI for both tires. The other link is saying 42 PSI to match OEM though?

    Which 16" tire?

    The Offroad is a standard load euro-metric with a load rating of 112.
    tr1.jpg

    The SR is a P-metric; P245/75/16/109

    Ok, SO I actually used my non stock sized tires at 17, not 16 inches, hence why my numbers are off. Sorry guys, it's late and math is hard right now lol.

    So, are your current tires 255/80/17 or 255/85/16?
